Warm Greetings!
I am honored to address the 27th Joint Conference of MHIAPSMIPHACON 2026, hosted by the
Community Medicine Department of Seth GSMC & KEM Hospital as part of the Centenary Year
Celebration of KEM Hospital.
I wish to highlight the pivotal role that primary healthcare plays in delivering urban
healthcare, serving as its backbone by providing essential services, preventive care,
and referrals to higher facilities. Medical colleges play a vital role as knowledge hubs,
driving innovation, research, and capacity building. Their Community Medicine departments
are instrumental in supporting urban health initiatives through monitoring and community outreach.
I am confident that the MHIAPSMIPHACON 2026 conference, with the theme
“Universal Health Care: Bridging Gaps in Urban & Rural Health”,
will generate evidence-based and meaningful solutions.
I would specially like to congratulate the Dean and the organizing team for hosting
such a scientific feast for public health experts.
I look forward to synergizing the efforts of BMC Public Health Administration with
academic and research institutions like Seth GSMC & KEM Hospital through such platforms.
